• 18 January 2021Reminder: Kanji Ryokucha for iOS is on the iTunes Store

With the New Year Kanji Koohii typically sees an larger than usual influx of new users. Last week I saw upwards of 65+ accounts registered in a 24h period. Welcome everybody!

I thought it would be a good time to remind everyone that we have an app on iOS, called Kanji Ryokucha. Please note the app is created by German Buela (github profile), not by me. If you enjoy the app please show your support to German whether on his Github or through the iTunes Store reviews & ratings.

The app is free and without ads. Get it on the iTunes store for iPad and iPhone.

The main value of the app is for users who like to use the flashcard system here. The iOS app lets you review when you are offline, and "sync" your flashcard review status (the Spaced Repetition System) at a later time, where a connection is available. So this lets you do reviews on the go with your smartphone or tablet.

I'm sorry we don't have a working Android client. This year when I migrate the site to a better framework with built-in API authentication (Laravel Sanctum), I think the likelyhood of an Android client will be much greater.
